The Bank Accounts tab for a Contact serves two purposes:
1) NACHA Module - stores the contact's bank account information to generate NACHA files for pay-ins/payouts.
2) ACH Module - delete stored ACH bank accounts for borrowers where numbers were incorrectly entered, orstored banking details are bad.
1) NACHA Module Functionality
With the NACHA module added to your account, you'll need to store each of your borrower/investor accounts for pay-ins/payouts.
The contact's Bank Accounts tab is where you'll start this process.
Click the 'Add Account' button to start the process (only works for NACHA, not ACH):
From this tab, you'll be able to add this contact's Bank Account(s) to be used for NACHA files.
Click 'Save' once you're done.
From here, you can use the 'Edit' button to edit the bank account information or change the Default bank account for subsequently generated NACHA files, or 'Del' to delete a bank account.
2) ACH Module Functionality
With the ACH module added to your account, this is where you can delete incorrectly entered bank accounts or accounts that repeatedly return bad statuses.
Note: The 'Add Account' button is only for NACHA. To store new ACH accounts, you'll do that by setting up Recurring Payments for the borrower (servicer option), or if the borrower has previously scheduled a payment via their portal account and entered an account.
